For this project, seven residential units will be built on a slightly sloping lot amidst badland-riddled hillsides. To blend in with their surroundings, the houses have been grouped into two clusters at varying heights following the lay of the land. The roofs are arranged in a pattern of inclined planes, each at a unique angle, recalling the rugged countryside characteristic of the badlands, interspersed with arbors covering private garden spaces.
The exterior surfaces will see the use of plaster for the walls, wood for the vertical openings and shading system and copper-zinc-titanium alloy sheeting for the roofs.
